I love the Pittsburgh Steelers…

Let me say that again – I love the Pittsburgh Steelers!!!

I have followed the team for almost my entire life and I’ve been faithful.  That faithfulness has seen me witness an astounding 5 Super Bowl victories as well as Kordell Stewart’s tenure as quarterback.  I have to say though, out of all the years I have seen this team play, its THIS year that has impressed me the most.

Right now, the Steelers are 5-1 and looking very impressive!!!

The defense is rock solid – at times it may stretch, but I haven’t seen it break yet.  The linebackers are to be feared and represent what could potentially be the strongest linebacker corps the NFL has ever seen.

The offense, while at times sluggish, always does enough to win it out.  When they are clicking, the offense is as lethal as any in the NFL – an elite QB (to call a QB who has taken his team to the Super Bowl and WON, while setting a host of other records anything other than elite is ridiculous), a fantastic set of receivers and depth at running back that doesn’t seem to have a bottom.

I’d be remiss if I didn’t say something about special teams.  Now, the Steelers have long been plagued by just that, “special teams”, but this year – well, let me put it this way, no big screw-ups.  So far, so good.

So, why the long post about how fantastic the Steelers are?

Well, like I said, I love the Pittsburgh Steelers and btw – they’re 5-1.
